Relaxers

So, I have had relaxers since I was about 4 years old. I never new how my natural hair was till my Big Chop (BC) last December. The picture on the right is me at 5 years and I already had a perm. My mum could not handle my kinky hair so I got a perm really early. I got relaxers every 3 months and it was quiet normal to get burns, I just dealt with all the pain and scares as long as my hair look straight and a comb could get though it. I was born in Texas but I grew up in Nigeria (10 years) where natural hair is rejected. You have to be some kind of religious person to have natural hair. Relaxer is the Norm in Nigeria, no one wants to see the huge kinky bush on your head.
