So this is me with my relaxed Hair. I loved it but it never grew past this length. I would do braids and be so happy about how much under-growth I have. Thinking that my hair would be longer when I take out the braids. The moment I get a perm, so much of my hair falls out, my hair would be just where it was before. I believed in this myth, that so many other blacks/Nigerians still believe, that "black girls can't have long hair." So I just accepted my fate and believed that was how my hair was going to be for the rest of my life.
